Geraldo Millinery was formed in 1963 when it started producing and then specialising in ladies Whispies for cocktail headwear. It also became an agent for overseas suppliers to South African hat manufacturers.

Geraldo became a local supplier of imported ladies’ hats as well as a local supplier of raw materials to the ladies’ hat trade. In 1989 the company’s focus shifted to mass marketing via chain store business. Geraldo Headwear imports specific designs for larger groups for this purpose.

In 2007 Geraldo Headwear amalgamated with the Supreme Group of companies and moved to Heriotdale in Johannesburg where it continues to specialise in men’s, boys, girls, kiddies headwear and related accessories.
